HISTORY

Since 1968, State University of Malang (UM) has organized formal education for undergraduates who wish to obtain a doctorate in education, with the name of the Purna Undergraduate Education Program, which is then integrated into the Doctoral Education Study Program (PSPD). The Doctoral Program was opened on February 1, 1977. Three years later the Masters Education Program was also opened. Based on the Presidential Decree No.60 of 1982, dated 7 September 1982, the Doctoral Education Program was officially changed to the Postgraduate and Doctoral Education Program. With the Minister of Education and Culture Decree No. 0146/0/1983, dated March 5, 1983, the Postgraduate and Doctoral Programs were designated as the Postgraduate Faculty (FPS). Based on PP No. 30 of 1990, and Kepmendikbud No. 0311/0/1991 FPS has changed its status again to a Postgraduate Program (Postgraduate) which includes the Masters Program and Doctoral Program which remains valid until now. Until the end of the even semester of the 2007/2008 academic year, UM Postgraduate graduates have graduated 374 doctors and 2548 Masters of Education.

Based on the Chancellor's Decree No. 01/2010 dated January 4, 2010 on Guidelines for the Implementation of Postgraduate Programs, one of which regulates the management of monodisciplinary undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in a management unit within one department. Since then, the implementation of the Learning Technology study program, both S2 and S3, is managed in an integrated manner with the S1 (Educational Technology) program while maintaining the name of each program.

 

VISION

The vision of the study program (Prodi) is to become a superior and reference study program in preparing Learning Technology developers and researchers, science, and its application in solving various educational / learning problems.

 

 

MISSION

To realize the above vision, the Postgraduate TEP Masters Program at State University of Malang:

  1. organizing education and learning in student-centered study programs, using various approaches and optimizing the use of media and information technology;
  2. conduct research and development in the field of learning technology to produce superior academic work and become a reference in the field of Learning Technology development;
  3. carry out community service in order to apply knowledge in the field of Learning Technology to solve various educational / learning problems in society.
  4. holding meetings at the level of study programs that are accountable and transparent to ensure the implementation of quality continuous learning.

 

DESTINATION

The aim of the Postgraduate Program of Postgraduate TEP, State University of Malang is to produce graduates who are superior and have competitiveness:

  1. Mastering knowledge to produce, use, assess and manage the process and application of educational / learning technology in theory and practice.
  2. Developing themselves as practitioners who can apply technology and educational / learning processes based on cutting-edge content and pedagogy.
  3. Facilitating learning through creating, using, evaluating and managing effective learning environments.
  4. Design, develop, implement and evaluate technology-rich learning environments in a community of users in a sporting manner. Exploring, evaluating, synthesizing and applying inquiry / research methods to improve learning and improve performance.
