PENGEMBANGAN E-LEARNING SEBAGAI PUSAT SUMBER BELAJAR UNTUK MENDUKUNG STUDENT CENTERED LEARNING

Abstract


Pembelajaran di dalam kelas yang berpuluh-puluh tahun didominasi oleh pendidik sebagai pusat dari kegiatan belajar mengajar atau Teacher Centered Learning (TCL), kini mulai bergeser ke Student Centered Learning (SCL) yakni pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik. Kesadaran akan kebutuhan setiap individu yang berbeda-beda mengharuskan pendidik beralih fungsi menjadi fasilitator serta motivator bagi para perserta didiknya. Peserta didik tidak lagi sebagai objek pengembangan ilmu, melainkan berlaku aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Bermacam-macam jenis materi pembelajaran diperlukan untuk  memenuhi kebutuhan belajar setiap peserta didik. Misalnya perbedaan gaya belajar, peserta didik dengan gaya belajar auditori tentu membutuhkan jenis materi pembelajaran yang berbeda dibandingkan peserta didik dengan gaya belajar visual. Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang begitu pesat memudahkan para peserta didik untuk mendapatkan dan mempelajari apa yang mereka inginkan dan apa yang mereka butuhkan. Ditunjang dengan teknologi internet yang sudah menjadi kebutuhan bagi setiap individu, serta saat ini internet sudah menjangkau hampir diseluruh pelosok daerah.. E-learning merupakan hasil  penyesuaian dunia pendidikan terhadap perkembangan teknologi informasi. E-learning menfasilitasi pembelajaran kapan saja dan dimana saja, menggunakan media elektronik berbantuan internet. E-learning yang selama ini hanya digunakan sebagai kelas online, sudah seharusnya mengalami perubahan. Pengembangan E-learning sebagai Pusat Sumber Belajar membutuhkan pengelolaan yang baik. Tujuan makalah ini adalah memberikan konsep baru tentang E-learning yang dijadikan sebagai Pusat Suumber Belajar untuk mendukung pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa (Student Centered Learning)
