KESALAHAN BERBAHASA INDONESIA DALAM KARANGAN PELAJAR INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL YANGON (IISY) DI MYANMAR (BURMA)

ABSTRACT: This research paper intends to describe about the errors of Indonesia Language of IISY’s Grade X students who are only originated in Burmese Language, mother tongue and who are learning bilingual: English and Indonesia. Especially, the researcher do focus on the error 1) based on the chosen and used words, 2) based on the affixed words, and 3) based on sentence structure. The research method applied is descriptive method with error analysis approach to identify the resulted errors from data. And data is collected in observation, writing test, documentation and questionarries. The results of this study as follow, firstly Indonesian sentences errors do appear as less accuracy in synonym words, as the use of words which do not fit with context, as in use of pronouns, in preposition words, as effected also by mother tongue’s pronunciation and as the use of second language’s words, English. Secondly, errors in forming or affixation words, thirdly, in writing sentences structure with un-functionally, in invalid categorical structure, in complex sentences structure especially in used of conjunctions, and acquisition of SL’s structure. Fourthly, ineffectiveness of logics and aspect of meaningful- grammatical are in theirs sentences error. These errors caused by internal factors: low motivation, potential/ language aptitude, language characteristics, and external factors: a short language learning period and the different length study of each student in IISY and by the acquisition of their second language, English.
